Business history,Expansion and growth over time

2017

In 2017, the story of PT Stovia began with the entrepreneurial spirit of Bella Fajar Ramadhan. It was a year of innovation and exploration as Stovia ventured into the food truck cafe concept. On July 12, 2017, Bella Fajar Ramadhan took the first steps, introducing Stovia Bella Coffee to the world. The food truck cafe concept was an ingenious idea, allowing the brand to bring the Stovia Bella Coffee experience directly to the customers. The mobile coffee shop, serving exclusively brewed coffee, traveled from one location to another, captivating coffee enthusiasts with every stop.

Bella Fajar Ramadhan’s passion for education was a driving force behind Stovia’s establishment. The name “Stovia” itself harks back to a prestigious medical school during the Dutch colonial era, which later became the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Indonesia. This name embodies Stovia’s commitment to knowledge, learning, and growth.

With the humble beginnings of the food truck cafe, PT Stovia embarked on a journey to not only provide delicious coffee but also to inspire and educate. Bella Fajar Ramadhan’s vision was to create a coffee experience that goes beyond taste, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for the art and science of coffee. Through Stovia Bella Coffee, PT Stovia laid the foundation for the remarkable coffee journey that continues to unfold, leaving an indelible mark on the coffee industry in Indonesia.

2018

In its second year, which was 2018, PT Stovia Bella Coffee underwent significant expansion from its initial focus of selling drinks. The company diversified its offerings and began selling coffee beans, catering to customers who preferred to brew their own coffee at home or in commercial settings. Recognizing the growing demand for high-quality coffee beans, PT Stovia Bella Coffee ventured into the market of both raw and roasted coffee beans.

To enhance the appeal of their products, the company paid meticulous attention to packaging. They aimed to create an attractive presentation that would entice customers. Burlap sacks were chosen as the packaging material for the coffee beans, adding a rustic and artisanal touch. These sacks were available in two sizes, 2 kg and 5 kg, providing options for different consumer needs and preferences.

By expanding its product range and focusing on the quality and presentation of its offerings, PT Stovia Bella Coffee demonstrated its commitment to meeting the evolving demands of coffee enthusiasts. This strategic move allowed the company to broaden its customer base and establish itself as a reputable player in the coffee industry during its second year of operation in 2018.

2019

In its third year, 2019, Stovia Bella Coffee witnessed a surge in demand as it expanded its operations to supply commercial and specialty-grade raw coffee to cafes and industries. Although Karl Marx, the renowned philosopher and economist, did not directly influence the developments of Stovia Bella Coffee during that year, his ideas can offer a unique perspective. Marx emphasized the role of labor and the importance of fair economic systems. In the context of Stovia Bella Coffee, the increasing demand for their raw coffee can be seen as a reflection of the growing awareness among consumers and businesses about the value of ethically sourced and fairly traded products. Stovia Bella Coffee’s commitment to providing commercial and specialty quality raw coffee to cafes and industries aligns with Marx’s emphasis on creating a more equitable and just society. By catering to the evolving demands of their customers and promoting sustainable practices, Stovia Bella Coffee exemplifies the positive impact businesses can have within economic systems, even if unintentionally echoing Marx’s ideas, during the transformative year of 2019.

2020

In its fourth year of operation, Stovia Bella Coffee underwent a significant transformation from an economic standpoint. The company was restructured and incorporated as PT. Stovia Garuda Yaksa, aligning with the principles of 20th-century economics. This strategic move aimed to position the company for international expansion and open up opportunities for exporting coffee to Europe and America.

On November 6, 2020, Bella Fajar Ramadhan and Husor Boy Dabutor, two ambitious and driven individuals, joined forces to lead PT. Stovia Garuda Yaksa. Their collaboration brought together a diverse range of skills and expertise, fueling the company’s readiness to venture into international markets. With a vision to establish a global presence, they worked tirelessly to create a business model that catered to the tastes and preferences of European and American consumers.

The success of PT. Stovia Garuda Yaksa was further bolstered by the full support it received from farmer groups based in Sumatra. These groups were deeply committed to environmentally friendly practices in coffee farming, aligning with the growing global focus on sustainability. This collaboration not only ensured a reliable supply of high-quality coffee beans but also contributed to the company’s reputation as an ethically responsible player in the industry.

Through its incorporation as PT. Stovia Garuda Yaksa and the collaborative efforts of Bella Fajar Ramadhan, Husor Boy Dabutor, and the environmentally conscious farmer groups, the company entered its fourth year with a strong commitment to international expansion. Inspired by the principles of 20th-century economics, PT. Stovia Garuda Yaksa aimed to establish itself as a key exporter of premium coffee to Europe and America, while upholding sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in the coffee farming industry.

Stovia Garuda Yaksa was established on November 6, 2020 for one reason, namely to become a provider of coffee needs that is environmentally and socially responsible. That's why our business carries the green spirit of social sustainability.

Bisnis adalah soal nilai sosial dan keberlanjutan. Karenanya, keunikan bisnis kami terletak pada semangat bahwa nilai ekologi dan sosial adalah investasi hijau.
